Description

These delicious cookie dough protein balls are a great and easy snack!

Perfect for after a workout or if you just need a sweet energy boost. Featuring our new Organic Whey Protein Isolate, which is derived from the highest quality dairy, it gives these protein balls a clean flavor and creamy, chewy texture.

If you prefer a vegan option you can easily substitute the Organic Whey Protein for one of our organic vegan proteins and it’ll still be an amazing protein rich snack.

Fresh, raw almost flour and creamy cashew milk powder

We ground our organic raw almonds into a flour to bind the protein balls and give them a chewy texture, almond flour has a neutral flavor as well as a high protein content.

Our creamy vanilla cashew milk powder is creamy and delicious, it is rich in calcium, vitamins D & E, and it adds a wonderful vanilla flavor to this recipe.

You can sweeten the protein balls with your sweetener of choice, we decided to add our organic coconut palm sugar with our premium backyard honey. Both of these sweeteners have vitamins and minerals, and contribute a great flavor to the recipe. You can also substitute the honey for maple syrup if you’re making the vegan version of this recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. ½ cup organic whey protein isolate
  2. 1 cup organic raw almonds – fancy non-pareil
  3. 1 cup nut butter (we use almond butter)
  4. ¼ cup creamy vanilla cashew milk powder
  5. 2 tbsp organic coconut palm sugar
  6. ¼ cup pure premium backyard honey – raw
  7. 3 tbsp organic bittersweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Into a food processor or blender, add the almonds and process until you have an almond flour, make sure it’s not too fine.
  2. Add your nut butter of choice to a microwave bowl, and microwave just enough to get it to a runny consistency.
  3. Add the whey protein powder, cashew milk powder, palm sugar, and almond flour in a bowl and mix well.
  4. To this dry mixture, add almond butter, honey and combine. Some protein powders absorb liquid differently, so if the dough feels dry and crumbly, sprinkle some water on it until it becomes like a cookie dough texture.
  5. Finally, add in chocolate chips and mix one last time. Make sure not to overwork the dough as this can separate the oils from the mixture. Using a small ice cream scoop, scoop out the dough into your palms and roll it into balls. Repeat until all of the dough is used.
  6. Store the protein balls refrigerated in an airtight container.
  7. Enjoy!
